Key Responsibilities
As a Strategic Planner, you will play a vital role in shaping through the development of land use planning strategies and policies. You will collaborate with stakeholders, undertake research, and prepare policy papers to support informed decision-making.
- Shaping their strategic framework for liveability, productivity, and sustainability. Your insights will be instrumental in sculpting the future landscape of their communities.
- Collaborate closely with a diverse range of stakeholders to find common ground amidst competing demands. Through creative land use planning and effective environmental management, you'll help foster unity and progress.
- Lead the charge in developing key planning strategies and policies that pave the way for transformative change. Your innovative ideas will drive this council toward a brighter, more sustainable future.
- Dive into dynamic project teams to tackle pressing issues in strategic planning head-on. Navigate challenges, brainstorm solutions, and make meaningful strides toward their shared goals.
Qualifications and Skills
- Qualification in environmental planning or a related field.
- Strong understanding of planning issues and practises.
- Research, analytical, and communication skills are key.
- IT, report writing, and presentation skills.
- Experience with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, and computer modelling is desirable.
