What success looks like in this role:
The Strategy Director is a critical, senior resource who serves as an evangelist for the Unisys Digital Workplace Solutions (DWS) offerings through client presentations, workshops and RFP responses.
This resource works closely with sales to assist in deal qualification, strategy and all phases of pursuit. The role also requires close working relationships beyond sales including the presales organization, delivery, marketing and finance. Additional responsibility includes working closely with Unisys Senior Management to help shape DWS future direction, innovations and strategy in support of our never-ending drive to improve and enhance our offerings.
External contacts include senior client stakeholders, 3rd party advisor contacts and other market research advisors – to promotion the vision and direction of DWS business unit.
Additionally, the Strategy Director collaborates with the DWS Solution Owners to keep abreast of BU developments, roadmaps etc, and brings learnings and new ideas from the field back into the product development teams for further evolution or adoption.
You will:
- Successfully building excitement and awareness of Unisys’ unique capabilities and differentiation in the market
- Compelling RFI responses leading to more down-select for RFPs
- Effective RFP deliverables that meet all client requirements while providing a creative and compelling solution.
- Well received, Interactive client workshops resulting in client deal shaping to improve Unisys’ ability to win
- Creative bid strategy development with sales and architect teams
- Frequent briefings and reviews with analyst/advisor contacts
- Support of research responses, such as Gartner MQ, ISG Provider Lens etc
Key Responsibilities
- Engaging in client presentations and RFIs/RFPs to bring thought leadership, creativity and build excitement for the Unisys solution.
- Proactively educated on important industry trends and technology
- Regular meetings with SE’s/CE’s to brainstorm on active and new campaigns
- Assist with RFI/RFP response editing to ensure a high quality and compelling result
- Education sessions for architects and sales teams
- in-depth portfolio related technology specialization to develop or refine DWS solution designs based on Unisys portfolio offerings
- Leads Unisys Area of Strength portfolio strategy presentations to clients including features, implementation approach, technical requirements, impacts, and benefits.
- Briefings with analysts and advisors
- Contribution to and reviews of statements of work for new proposals and scope changes

You will be successful in this role if you have:
- Come from a Technical / Solutions Architect background, a client facing role previously leading DWS deals, including desktop and service desk solutions.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills
- Consultative selling knowledge/experience
- Curious, hands-on and pragmatic leader
- Ability to understand specific client business operations, strategies, objectives, and needs. Translating these into requirements and the basis for compelling solutions.
- Solid experience in working with large IT Infrastructure service delivery.
- Driven, self-motivated and distinctive personality who is able to motivate himself/herself and others
- Extensive knowledge of the DWS Outsourcing business and the competitors in the market
- Significant exposure to clients across a variety of technologies, industries and domains
- Able to present solution and portfolio strategy to clients at all levels.
- Fully understands and consistently uses the portfolio solution materials located in the Portfolio Center including guides, blueprints, work breakdown structures, sales and delivery methods, estimation tools, and proposal template material.
- Extensive experience in a similar role and a degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience within the field of IT
- Fluent English language skills with experience in English language IT Service Delivery or Presales
