Woodside led the development of the LNG industry in Australia and is applying this same pioneering spirit to solving future energy challenges.Our global headquarters are based in Perth and our state-of-the-art campus reflects the quality of life Perth is known for - with a six Green Star rating, advanced wellness features and flexibility in how you work.About the Role:Woodside is looking for a Strategic & Market Intelligence Advisor to join their Perth based New Energy team.In this role, you will provide strategic direction and market insights to the New Energy team, with a focus on shaping and delivering our New Energy Strategy and providing Marketing Intelligence to support the origination and progression of commercial competitive opportunities and inform portfolio decisions.Duties & Responsibilities:The duties & responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Provide insights and analysis on the latest market developments, technology advancements, policy drivers and competitive dynamics in the New Energy sector
  • Develop and support the regional New Energy strategy, integrating across the regional teams to develop and monitor market signals and signposts
  • Act as a focal point for the Strategy & Market Intelligence team in APAC, engaging with the APAC New Energy teams and representing the Strategy Planning & Portfolio team within APAC
  • Author regular reports and analyses on market trends, competitor strategies and benchmarking, market fundamentals deep dives and cost of supply analyses
  • Bring together external and internal market / customer insights to inform and support our New Energy strategic priorities
Skills & Experience:The successful candidate will possess the following:
  • 10+ year's experience in market development, strategy, engineering or related disciplines
  • Tertiary qualifications in any of the following: Economics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, or Marketing are desirable
  • Proven financial and market analysis, and modelling expertise to support opportunity framing and decision making
  • Capability to transform complex analysis into clear and actionable insights
  • Proven ability to conduct research and follow leads to deliver Market Intelligence and insights
  • Desire to contribute to the energy transition
  • Support a culture of constructive and effective communication
  • Understand and recognize changing market forces that may impact Woodside's or customers' business
  • Be agile and able to pivot plans to reflect changing market forces
  • Regional language skills where applicable
