We are currently seeking of experienced Principal Structural Engineers, Senior Structural Engineers and Experienced Structural Engineers to join our client's team in a permanent capacity, and support them in the delivery projects in Kalgoorlie.This is a critical role, so we will be interviewing immediately.Our client operates in all States so they will accept interstate applications.About the companyWorking for an industry leader with projects spanning across logistics, bulk handling and other various industries. - Ability to independently review tender packages and manage projects to completion whilst mitigating risk.
- Review and approval of standard designs and procedures whilst reviewing and adequately addressing the client's scope while also considering legislative and national requirements.
- Contribute to management plans and schedules as well as budgets.
- Review project technical specifications for procurement and review pretender submissions.
- Contribute to Safety in Design reviews and HAZOPs.
- Actively contribute to formal Design Reviews at each design stage through to project commissioning plan.
- Provide technical assistance to the project teams as required for battery limits, plant breakdowns, constructability reviews, commissioning or technical site issues.
- Proven ability to work in a busy and proactive team through design, review and approval of works.
- Proven communication and client relationship skills internally and externally.
- High proficiency in Structural engineering design and documentation from scheme through to construction stage.
- Assist in the development and application of engineering and design standards, systems and processes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills for multiple concurrent designs in progress
- Relevant Bachelors of Engineering (Civil/Structural) Degree, recognised by the Institute of Engineers (Australia)
- Extensive knowledge of Australian legislation and standards
- Principal Engineer ideally required circa 15 years' experience
- Senior Engineer ideally requires circa 8 years' experience
- Ideally possessing 8 or more years' experience in bulk materials handling.
- Advanced knowledge of design processes means and methods.
- Ideally 10 years' experience on Design & Construction projects.
- Fellow of Engineers Australia or approved equivalent.
