We deliver tailored design engineering solutions across the Buildings, Transport, Water Infrastructure, Urban Development, Ports and Marine, Energy, Defence and Resources sectors. We empower our engineers to think outside the square and dare to be different.
About our approach:
We focus on the core philosophy of delivering excellent engineering solutions for our valued Clients which allows us to create exceptional, long-term opportunities for our talented personnel. Our unique style of project delivery ensures that our people don't have to choose between maintaining hands-on Engineering and corporate career options, they can have both!
About our role:
WGA have steadily grown our Ports and Marine Team nationally over the last 10 years. With this has come the opportunity to offer our team a wide variety of exciting projects across the nation to sink their teeth into. Our teams regularly cross borders with their workload and work with interstate teams. This position is to add to our national team to work on both projects in Tasmania as well as nationally.
To continue this growth, we are looking for an engineer interested in supporting exciting projects and excellent people within the freedom of a privately owned consulting firm.
About you:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering
- Ideally, exposure to a consulting environment across projects such as:
- Jetties, wharves, cranes, mooring analysis, and other Ports projects.
- Coastal infrastructure including erosion, breakwaters, and ramps.
- We are open to the right candidate with experience in industrial structures in lieu of specific maritime experience.
- Willingness to work across multiple other sectors and projects including Energy and Infrastructure.
- Eager to establish relationships with external stakeholders and our national team, fostering our unique ability to share knowledge and work beyond regional boundaries.
At WGA we believe a diverse workplace fosters unique and progressive ideas and drives our culture of learning and sharing knowledge. We encourage all to apply because whatever your background you can progress your career and enjoy the benefits that only a privately owned organisation can offer.
