- Full time role (campus based), fixed term maternity leave cover until May 2025

About the opportunity
The Student Centre is the first point of contact for prospective students, current students, internal stakeholders and the general public to receive advice, assistance and support on student administration related enquiries and transactions. The Student Centre Assistant is an essential member of the Student Centre team, responsible for responding to enquiries and effectively diagnosing more complex matters. This includes the accurate and timely provision of information within a high-volume and service centric environment including, face to face, email, and phone channels.
About you
- strong and well developed organisational, time management and prioritisation skills to manage conflicting service and administrative tasks
- experience in providing quality customer service and the ability to add-value in responding to enquiries online, over the phone and in-person
- the ability to apply common sense, sound judgement, sensitivity to individual circumstances, and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- proven ability to work in a team environment, demonstrating flexibility of task allocations as required to meet service demands and conducting themselves with respect for others at all times
- experience and a capacity to analyse, identify and solve problems independently and in teams whilst working within a clear set of protocols and guidelines.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
