Minarah College is an independent Islamic co-educational school catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Minarah College was established in January 2002 by the Muslim League of NSW Inc.

Minarah College is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment. We are currently seeking a compassionate and professional Student Counsellorto join our team and provide essential guidance and support to our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counselling to students on academic, career, personal, and social issues.
- Develop and implement programs to promote student well-being and mental health.
- Assist students in developing effective coping strategies and problem-solving skills.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administration to support student development.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
- Participate in the development and execution of school policies related to student counselling and welfare.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in a counselling role, preferably within a school setting.
- Strong understanding of issues facing students, including cultural sensitivity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
