Your new role
Are you ready for a new challenge in a permanent opportunity? We are looking for two Student Engagement Officers to make a difference at Curtin University. This position coordinates a wide range of administrative and organisational tasks to support all aspects of the student lifecycle experience, including outreach activities, engagement and retention of students, and promotion of career development and extracurricular initiatives. The ideal candidate will facilitate information flow, administer communications and correspondence, and distribute information professionally and timely to relevant stakeholders.
In this role, you will (but not limited to):
Support the Manager Student Engagement and the Indigenous Student Engagement Coordinator with the administration and coordination of student experience activities and initiatives.
Coordinate logistical requirements for and participate in, events and activities including Open Day, outreach/prospective student events, and other promotional activities.
Contribute to development of resources that will enhance the effective administration of Health Sciences outreach initiatives aimed at promoting the Faculty’s courses.
Contribute to promotional efforts to increase student participation and retention.
Provide advice and information to students on relevant programs for them offered by the Faculty of Health Sciences and/or the respective Schools.
Assist students to access and benefit from University student services, such as Student Connect, Guild, Counselling Services, student retention programs, and English/Academic support services.
Liaise with relevant staff and students, alumni, and other internal and external stakeholders to support the development and delivery of student experience initiatives.
Monitor and maintain databases and track and report on student experience initiatives.
Resolve operational problems and assist in the development and implementation of processes and systems that support the efficient administration of the student experience initiatives.

Essential Criteria:
Completion of a relevant degree; or considerable relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to consult and liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated commitment to the delivery of high-quality client service.
Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Well-developed written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to construct documentation and articulate information clearly and professionally.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to use discretion and knowledge to determine appropriate actions.
Demonstrated digital literacy skills across a range of common applications.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience in the higher education sector.
