About the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Students)
The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students) provides administrative support to key strategic and operational functions of the University’s student-related and academic services. Under the general portfolio, the Office team support Portfolio leadership and facilitate dialogue between key service areas to help the Portfolio ensure Flinders’ educational offerings are innovative, of assured quality, and are student centred. About the Role
Due to internal movements, the Student Administration Services Team has an exciting opening for a Student Finance and Scholarships Officer. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the administration of student fees and Scholarships information in corporate systems and for providing administrative support and advice as part of the Student Finance and Scholarships section.
This multifaceted role provides quality planning and operation support for Student Finance related services across the university and will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high quality service to both student and staff.
The Student Finance and Scholarships Officer, will also be responsible for a range of complex Student Finance and scholarship related services, including but not limited to:
Manage HELP scheme requirements.
Administering sponsorship contracts and individual arrangements
Administering scholarship and related aspects of research higher degrees
Invoicing and coordinative debt collection
Payment and Refund management
Assessing and making recommendations related to remissions
Overseas Student Health Cover administration and
Administration of overseas loan schemes.
About You
Your high-level organisation and time management skills will be the key to your success as you demonstrate your ability to use initiative, manage complex workloads, and exercise judgement in prioritising tasks to meet critical deadlines. You will have experience in providing high quality customer service to achieve successful outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
The successful Student Finance and Scholarships Officer, will also demonstrate:
Completion of a degree or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to apply them to relevant tasks in a large and dynamic environment.
Ability to work effectively and reliably as part of a team and contribute to procedural and organisational change.
