Job description

Catholic Regional College Sydenham is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Student Protocol Officer.

Catholic Regional College Sydenham was founded in 1982 as a Catholic senior school for students in the West of Melbourne. 

The school is a part of the Catholic Regional College Federation of schools encompassing 7-10 Colleges at St Albans, North Keilor and Caroline Springs. The founders of the school understood that in building a specialist senior campus, students would benefit from having specialist teachers and the widest range of subjects offered.

The role is an ongoing Full Time position to commence as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that study hall is conducive to study .
  • Supervise students rostered to attend study hall; 
  • Supervise students as required by the College;  
  • Liaise with staff to enter and record all SACs and students attending each session;  
  • Mark and maintain accurate attendance records;  
  • Receive and record all parent phone calls;
  • To collate attendance data producing routine reports regarding attendance and submit to Leadership Team on a weekly basis.
  • Receive, record and notify Cluster Leaders and subject teacher of:  
  • medical certificates  
  • statutory declarations  
  • excursions and incursions  
  • work experience absences;
  • College SMS (Short Messaging Service) as required;  

Requirements:

  • Working in a school environment.
  • Strong ICT skills with an ability to utilize ICT in a variety of ways including Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Ability to work well independently, be self-motivated and take initiative.
  • Polished, professional and courteous at all times.
  • Proven experience of effective team working and fostering and development of positive working relationships.
  • Highly organised with well-developed problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • Must hold a current WWC ;
  • Must hold a valid visa and/or full Australian Working Rights and provide evidence of this;
  • Must have a strong commitment to Catholic education;
  • Must have a willingness to work closely and collaboratively with parents, staff, and other professionals to support the learning and wellbeing of students.

Salary will be based on experience in accordance with the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022.Salary will be based on the CEMEA 2022. The level and subdivision of the successful candidate will be negotiated based on experience, qualifications and previous industry experience.
