About the role

This position will be responsible for the administrative support of EPEC students, with a requirement of 20-25 hours per week. It is envisaged that this would be split over four days, with flexibility and choice of hours provided for the right applicant. This is an office-based role and would require the successful applicant to work out of our Gold Coast office.

The duties for the role include:

  • Managing student inductions and RPL applications
  • Facilitating virtual assessment – setting up Zoom/Teams meetings; liaising with students, Assessors and Host Providers to organise assessment activities
  • Attending to student requests via email, Online chat and phone calls
  • Providing support to a portfolio of Full-Time students – troubleshooting study issues; assisting students to access academic or wellbeing support as required
  • Liaising with Host Providers in Early Childhood, OSHC and school environments
  • Administering training plans, and support students to ensure they complete their course of study
  • Developing and implementing processes to improve student engagement
  • Developing and administering additional materials to support successful student outcomes
  • Working with the EPEC team to administer RPL applications; document assessment outcomes and facilitate completion processes
  • Using digital platforms to gather data; update records and manage the student experience from enrolment to completion
  • If the candidate holds appropriate qualifications and industry experience: conducting virtual assessment with students across ECEC; OSHC and school environments.

About You

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and results driven individual that takes ownership in their role. You are a self-motivator and have the determination and drive to succeed in this role utilising your own knowledge and skill set, while being open to learning new capabilities.

You will possess the following skills:

  • A high level of administrative skill – including following Online recording keeping procedures
  • A high level of digital literacy – digital record keeping; utilising digital platforms; Online contact with students, Assessors and Host Providers
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to build positive rapport and relationships
  • Ability to work autonomously, be self-driven and demonstrate initiative.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with tight time schedules.
  • Positive and flexible approach to a continually changing work environment.
  • Ability to use multiple system platforms, and a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to take on multiple tasks until completion, with excellent follow up.

The following qualification and experiences are a requirement for the role:

Essential

  • Experience in a high-level administrative role – ability to work independently on complex administrative tasks
  • Experience in customer service – phone, email and face-to-face interaction, with positive outcomes
  • Experience in the education, School Age Care, or early childhood sectors 

Desirable

  • Experience working in Vocational Education, or familiarity with the operation of RTOs
  • Qualifications in Training and Assessment, such as the TAE40116; or skill sets in the area
  • Qualifications or prior experience in Early Childhood; Childcare; School Age Care or Education Support
  • Experience working in the education sector, such as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or similar

  • The ability to use data, follow processes and complete records to support student completion.
