Westall Secondary College is located in the south east of Melbourne. It is 30 minutes from the Melbourne Central Business District and five minutes from Monash Universitys Clayton campus. The school currently has 600+ students drawn from the local area and the international community. The College is a well-established, co-educational, government school which enrols students from Year 7 to 12. The College achieves excellent results for local and international students.
The Westall area is undergoing significant change and growth in the next 5-10 years. We have received planning money from the State Government to plan and redevelop both Westall Primary School and Westall Secondary College. This is an incredibly exciting time in the journey and growth of Westall Secondary College.

An International Perspective
Westall College is proud to be an accredited provider of education for International students. The College values its harmonious diversity of cultures, which enriches the life of the whole school community.
The College has a federally funded English Language Centre on site which provides intensive EAL (English as an additional Language) to newly arrived students. This program caters for refugees, migrants and International fee paying students.

Range 4 is distinguished by broader management responsibility, particularly in the areas of other support functions. Range 4 is responsible for managing a range of functions under a wide range of conditions, subject to the size and complexity of school operations.
Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction minimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.
Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.
An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee¿s position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
Operating in collaboration with school, leadership and wellbeing team where relevant, the student Wellbeing and support will:
- Promote a whole school approach to foster resilience, educational, social and emotional health and wellbeing to students.
- Support teachers and school staff to expand their capacity to embed evidence-based strategies, interventions and programs and build Wellbeing and resilience to identify and Support students.
- Coordinate clear referral pathways internally (within school) and externally (to community services) for students identified as requiring further assessment and intervention.
- Proactively work with and Support staff, school Wellbeing and leadership teams, teachers, parents/carers and other external agencies to coordinate targeted support for students.
Individuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
