Substation Electrician

Intro Recruitment is currently working with a major electrical infrastructure company who is looking for electricians with Brownfields Substation experience for a major projects in NSW on the Waratah Battery Project

Projects will be offering LAFHA between $310 - $350 pending on the site. DIDO is required to sites and will be operating on a 10&4 or 11&3 roster.

The primary purpose of these roles is to undertake the maintenance and new works including installations & fault-finding work of substations by the safe and effective operation of associated plant and equipment.

It is very desirable to have Transgrid 3.3 or 5.2 training. Also to note, training will be provided for these sites during December and January to see you are compliant for the work starting February.

The successful candidates will have:

• Relevant Trade Qualification
• Australian citizen/permanent resident/have full working rights in Australia
• Electrical License
• HV Substation
• HV and LV Switch rooms
• HV Control rooms
• Installation of HV Plant, Cable Ladder, Cable tray and conduits
• Construction Testing of new cables (Insulation Resistance and Point- to- Point)
• Installation of electrical equipment, pulling-in electrical control / supply cables, terminating switchboards, control rooms and switch rooms
• Testing of cables and RCD’s
• Testing of earth grids, cables and RCD’s (IR, VLF and Point –to – point)
• Commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Quality control documentation
