Due to the growth in securing and delivering large-scale substations, we have an opportunity for a Substation Secondary Design Engineer to be responsible for the implementation of Substation Secondary engineering services which include integrating with and supporting the construction operations and management as required for the delivery of projects within the agreed scope, timeframe, budget, quality and safety standards.
In this role, we are looking for some or all of the following experience:
creating and checking:
AC and DC protection and metering Single Line Diagrams
AC and DC schematics
Wiring schedules
managing SCADA and IEC61850 network topology designs in collaboration with substation SCADA and Protection Engineers
substation control buildings, protection and control panel/cubicle specification, layout design, material lists and label schedules
specification of substation DC battery systems and UPS equipment
ABOUT YOU
- Motivated and engaged work ethic with a team first focus
- Familiar with Micro Station / AutoCAD / E3 / Solid Works design software
- Engineering Degree (Electrical), with 2 plus years' experience working as an electrical engineer - highly desirable in the area of Substation Secondary Design and AC and DC design calculations.
- Understanding of substation and transmission/distribution line protection and control - highly desirable.
- Brisbane or Adelaide based
