About the team

The Suicide Prevention Regional Response Coordinator will be part of the Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Team at Capital Health Network (CHN). This team undertakes the strategic planning, design and implementation of primary mental health care and Suicide Prevention initiatives aimed at improving mental health outcomes in the community. The team sits within a broader Health System Integration Team, which is responsible for coordinating projects and program areas centred around improvement and integration of the health system to actively respond to the needs of the ACT community.

About the role

The Suicide Prevention Regional Response Coordinator position plays a lead role in coordinating and integrating Suicide Prevention initiatives in the Canberra region. This includes the management and implementation of the Targeted Regional Initiatives for Suicide Prevention program in the ACT region, and the coordination of a Suicide Prevention Community Collaborative that consists of a large group of like-minded stakeholders across multiple sectors who are committed to reducing suicide in the ACT community. The program provides support to the local community through the connection of Suicide Prevention activities and community initiatives.

See yourself in our team

Reporting to the Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Program Manager, you will work across multiple teams and multiple stakeholders to understand and prioritise the needs of our community, with consideration and respect for the confidential and sensitive nature of this work.
