What You'll Do
Reporting to an experienced and passionate Maintenance Manager, you will inspire, engage and lead the CHPP Operations team to operate the Coal Handing and Processing Plants (CHPPs), and associated ancillary equipment to maximise operational performance and reduce operational costs. The position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of the approved maintenance plans for the overland conveyor, coal crushing, stacking, reclaiming, processing, rejects and tailings disposal, product management and train load out.
Your role will be varied and interesting and will include:
- Managing a team of skilled trades whilst driving alignment with Coronado's values that prioritises both professional excellence and adherence to the company's principles
- Working closely with the broader operations and maintenance teams to optimise availability, maintain CHPP operating efficiency, build effective maintenance teams and reduce operational cost of the CHPP.
- Dynamically participate and drive the plan through continuous improvement initiatives
- Administer contracts associated with CHPP maintenance.
- Actively review plans and provide feedback on risk to achieving planned outcomes.
- Work with the Planning and Operations Teams to realise best value business outcomes.
- Contribute to the establishment and commitment to longer-term goals and actively manage risk for the CHPP Team.
- Deliver and maintain work management processes and documentation in compliance with Curragh's frameworks and standards.
- Manage maintenance activities, deliver against agreed targets and schedules, while monitoring and reporting on progress and variances to plan.
What You'll Bring
- Relevant leadership experience in the maintenance of processing plants; preferably within the mining sector.
- Electrical or Mechanical Trade and or Engineering background.
- Commercial and business acumen.
- Ability to lead, coach and engage an operational workforce.
- Strong focus on teamwork, safety and productivity.
- Self-motivation, drive and resilience are essential, and you will be highly skilled in influencing, negotiating, gaining credibility and building relationships.
