ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a (Permanent position that is DIDO daily, from our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.
As the Superintendent Execution for Tailings Storage, you will be responsible for delivering high performance outcomes for safety, volume, and cost through inclusive leadership. This role has direct accountability for safe Tailings Storage facility operation including bauxite residue deposition, construction, and maintenance activities.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
- Guarantee that everyone performing work in Tailings Storage facilities goes home Safe and Well everyday
- Lead the team to develop and execute the annual Deposition, Dewatering and Dust Management plans for the Tailings Storage facilities.
- Develop, resource, and execute the 5-year BRDA construction plan with the Civil Construction team.
- Manage all work undertaken by operational personnel performing and/or supervising production activities
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Expert that has guided, developed, and influenced practice with several years' experience in production/civil construction execution activities in a leadership role
- Ability to develop, coach and mentor employees to improve engagement, diversity and capability
- Exceptional safety leadership with an ability to identify and eliminate hazards in the workplace
- Clearly assigns responsibility for tasks and decisions; sets clear objectives and measures; monitors process, progress and results; designs feedback loops into work
- Collaborate with multiple or larger groups of internal stakeholders
Qualifications for this position are:
- A recognised job relevant university degree or diploma is preferred.
