About the Role
The Supervising Psychologist is an integral member of an experienced multidisciplinary health care team providing a range of high-quality evidence based clinical services to Eligible Personnel in accordance with professional standards and legislation.
The team is responsible for undertaking assessments, risk assessments, crisis intervention, case formulation, programmatic treatment intervention, and care co-ordination, as well as additional support services as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Approved as a Supervisor by the Psychology Board of Australia
- Minimum 2 years fulltime (or part time equivalent) in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based “Focussed Psychological Strategies” as defined under the Medicare Schedule
- Minimum 2 years full time (or part time equivalent) Post Graduate Experience supervising provisionally registered psychologists undertaking a Board approved supervised practice program for the purposes of obtaining General Registration
- Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
- Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies and procedures and national standards governing mental health practice (desirable)
- Knowledge of the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2023 (desirable)
Enoggera Health Centre is located at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane, and provides support to Gallipoli, Victoria, Bulimba, and Damascus Barracks. Established in 1908, this modern military base currently spans 600 hectares. The Health Centre provides primary medical, surgical outpatient, physiotherapy, dental, mental health, and pharmaceutical services. This facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
