About This Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, proactive and energetic Senior Administration Coordinator capable of delivering exceptional administrative and business functions. The Supervisor, Administration and Engagement (Central Queensland) is a senior member of the Rural Clinical School team and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Rural Clinical School (Central Queensland region). This includes overseeing the operational and administrative support services for the Regional Training Hub and Doctor of Medicine (MD) program. This role will develop and lead a high-performing team and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
This role will primarily be based at the Rockhampton Regional Clinical Unit and reports to the Senior Manager, Rural Clinical School.
Key responsibilities will include:
Lead, develop and motivate the administrative and operational team in providing high level, accurate and timely support services for both staff and students (current and prospective).
Oversee the administrative support required to implement various learning experiences and student assessments, clinical placements, student field trips and workshops.
Oversee the coordination of events aimed at improving the recruitment and retention of medical professionals in the Central Queensland region.
Advising academic and professional staff on university policies, ensure compliance and consistent implementation of University policies/procedures as well as Medical School guidelines.
In collaboration with the Senior Manager, Rural Clinical School prepare an annual operations budget, exercise financial delegation for operations expenditure and identify cost saving measures.
It is desirable to have experience in and a commitment to living and working in rural and/or regional Australia.
This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position through to 14th February 2025
At HEW level 7, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $96,649 - $105,244, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $113,080 - $123,136 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.
About You
A degree with at least four (4) years subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
Excellent written and verbal communication skill, experience in effectively communicating and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders, a high level of interpersonal skills and ability to lead a team with a flexible, outcomes-focused approach.
High-level business and/or administration skills including the ability to gather, interpret, and use data, information, and insights and to translate strategic objectives into operational activities.
A high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Demonstrated ability to understand and apply a range of rules, policies and processes with regard to the regulatory and legislative context.
Highly effective organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of University administrative systems, policies and procedures or the capacity to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
