A rare opportunity exists for a methodical and detail-oriented individual to join our remarkable City Operations team at the City of Kwinana. Reporting to the Coordinator Facility Maintenance, this position is responsible for leading and supervising the Facility Cleaning Team and external contractors in providing high quality cleaning of building assets and project management of facility upgrade and renewal works.
In this role, you will supervise the Facility Cleaning Team, cleaning contractor, project staff and other contractors while interacting closely with other City departments along with a wide range of stakeholders in the community. Using your strong interpersonal and communication skills, you will maintain productive working relationships with external contractors and suppliers to manage works schedules/projects, facilitating the efficient and effective delivery of works in the most cost-effective manner.
What You’ll Need
To make an impact in this role, you will need the following:
- Formal qualifications in the field of building construction, maintenance, project management, contract management or other applicable field.
- Substantial experience and knowledge in various building trades, project and maintenance management.
- Substantial experience and ability to organise/prioritise own workload and in the leadership and supervision of staff and contractors.
- Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety Legislation and risk management.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with a wide range of internal and external customers.
- Well-developed computer literacy skills, particularly in MS Excel, Word and Project.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Possession of a Driver’s License.
