We are looking for individuals with diverse skillsets, thinking, and a passion for the mining industry to join our team at the Solomon Mine Site. As a Mining Supervisor, you will play a vital role in overseeing mining activities, ensuring safety, productivity, and efficiency targets are met. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals currently working in different departments within the mining industry who are seeking to transition into a supervisory role.

Work Location: Solomon

• Fortescue's Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster: 7D/7N/14X FIFO Perth or Busselton

• Supervise mining operations in an open pit mining environment.
• Uphold safety, health, and environmental standards, fostering a culture of compliance and accountability.
• Lead and mentor a team of operators and technicians, driving continuous improvement and professional development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise production schedules and resource utilization.
• Monitor equipment performance, identifying maintenance needs and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience working in the mining industry, with the ability to attain a schedule 26 supervisor appointment.
• Tertiary qualifications in mining engineering, geology, or a related field are preferred but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Commitment to safety leadership and compliance, with a proactive approach to risk management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and empower team members.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work on a 2-week-on, 2-week-off roster.
