About the role

Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.

We are looking for safety focused Fixed Plant Operations Supervisor's with a passion for people, to lead our Fixed Plant Production operators across the Pilbara mine operations region. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe delivery of daily production targets, daily inspections of the plant and assisting in maintaining plant reliability.

Leading on the frontline is one of the most important jobs in our business and comes with a huge amount of responsibility. We need you to motivate, inspire and keep your people safe and well.

Reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant Operations and working in a challenging and exciting environment, you will:

  • Drive a safe work environment where zero harm is our goal
  • Demonstrate ability to consistently achieve safety and operational outcomes and delivery of daily production targets
  • Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes, whilst providing leadership, development and support to your team
  • Complete daily inspections of work areas and regular on the job interactions with the team to drive a safe and efficient work culture
  • Leading, organising, developing and motivating your team to exceed expectations and targets
  • Ensure clear direction and stakeholder management is upheld within direct area of accountability
  • Process works in alignment with the Work Management System
  • Drive innovation and development of associated task within the fixed plant

What you'll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Confidence in leading, coaching and developing team members
  • Proven experience operating in a field leadership role, preferably within a mining production environment or similar
  • Ability to execute work in alignment with Rio Tinto values (Care, Courage and Curiosity) and behaviours
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to achieve outcomes through influence and collaboration with others
  • A current and valid 'C Class' manual driver's licence

Where you'll be working

We currently have opportunities existing as residential or FIFO from Perth, or any of our regional hubs within WA.
