Our client is a global leader in heavy diesel engines and Power Generation across multiple industries. They have an enormous market presence in Australia within the mining sector with 37 branches across the country. You'll see their name on trucks, generators, power-packs and mobile plant equipment. They are consistently growing, creating new technology, up skilling their workforce all whilst ensuring new career growth opportunities are developed within.
The Role
In this role full time role as Supervisor - Power Generation you will provide technical specialist and primary customer support contact to diagnose and execute complex repairs to generators and components at the customer's site.
Benefits:
- Open to relocation and covering costs
- 70-80% of the role office based with 20-30% in the field
- Sign on bonus paid as follows: 50% on commencement and 50% after 6 months
- Salary $130k plus car provided
- Hours 8am-4pm or as required
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and continually develop productive customer relations and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on Power Generation products in the field.
- Coach and develops technicians and/or apprentices and transfers knowledge and experience to others; may provide work direction; may review of repair plans, parts lists, etc.
- Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
- Complete training in line with skill and business requirements
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor
Requirements:
- Certified Power Generation
- Grade A Electrical Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Knowledge of and/or experience with Power Generation products
- High Voltage / Low Voltage experience
- Customer service experience
