About the role
Reporting to the Manager Project Commissioning you will be responsible for overseeing the project activities and coordinating staff and contractors, ensuring delivery of commissioning projects within agreed timeframes and budgetary parameters and in compliance with applicable standards and procedures and aligning to organisational objectives and requirements.
The role is site based on a 8/6 roster.
- Oversee the completion of project activities, guiding team members in the delivery of day-to-day project deliverables and objectives.
- Ensure compliance to budget parameters to achieve agreed benchmark performance levels of safety, cost, efficiency and completion rates through effective allocation of resources and scheduling.
- Supervise and build staff through training and feedback to encourage and develop internal capabilities and to ensure team members are adequately resourced to perform.
- Contribute to the Identification of skills and resources required to successfully deliver the project.
- Manage the project delivery within a timely manner ensure the maximum outcomes for the client and CSI.
- Ensure quality is of a consistently high level and pro-actively identify quality issues.
- Closely manage, monitor and report all costs and controls.
- Accountable for the implementation and compliance with all CSI safety requirements across staff, contractors and work practices ensuring appropriate records are maintained and required reports are available.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and lead site harmony/industrial relations.
- Comply at all times with legislative, organisational, industry and ethical responsibilities
- Maintain respectful, effective, cohesive and reciprocal working relationships with all stakeholders both internal and external to MRL to ensure responsibilities, targets and results are successfully achieved.
- Take responsibility to learn, understand and apply MRL systems and processes.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Tertiary Qualifications in a related discipline
- Strong understanding of Safety Management and associated legislative requirements.
- Knowledge of the construction industry and site management principles
- Ability to lead and manage large teams
- Problem solving and analytical skills which may include understanding of estimating, scheduling, field supervision, contracts administration, procurement, financial controls and reporting
- Experience in a site management or project management role within complex and high volume business projects
