About the role
Reporting to the Coordinator Road Services, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance of road and footpaths in road reserves.
Duties
- Investigate service requests from the public and determine an appropriate course of action
- Monitor reactive maintenance requests to ensure that they are allocated to the relevant work teams/ contractors
- Carry out cost estimates and manage the work order process, including the supervision of internal staff and contractors as required
- Carry out assessment and inspections of traffic control plans and implementation
- Coordinate the operations of Road Services staff with a proactive approach to the environment
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- TAFE Certificate in Civil Engineering or a related field or nearing completion of such qualification or experience in civil infrastructure maintenance and construction
- Traffic Control Certificates
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- WHS Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
- Knowledge of local government engineering operations
- Experience in engaging and supervising contractors to undertake civil maintenance works
- Working knowledge and experience in road and Footpath Maintenance
