• Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

Roster: 14D/14R - FIFO ex Perth

Reporting into the Track Maintenance Superintendent, the role requires a professional proactive person to join our Fortescue Infrastructure Track Machines team. Looking after the Fortescue Rail Network and ensuring efficiency and reliability with a very strong Safety work ethic. Following our Family Values and being a part of the Fortescue family.

• Lead and supervise track maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards and procedures.
• Scope track re-surfacing works and coordinate resources accordingly.
• Operate Track Machines at an advanced level, demonstrating proficiency in their use.
• Possess a basic understanding of SAP for efficient tracking and reporting.
• Competent in all aspects of ALC.
• Ability to operate the ballast train when required, ensuring efficient track maintenance.
• Hold a valid HR license for operating heavy machinery.
• Ensure the safe handover of tracks to control, verifying their readiness for rail traffic.
• Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in track machine operations.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Certification in Rail Infrastructure/resurfacing (Cert III).
• Proficient in operating Track Machines at an advanced level.
• Basic understanding of SAP software.
• Ability to operate the ballast train.
• Valid HR license.
• Mechanical/electrical background preferred but not essential.
