AddressOur client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain and ILS Manger to be based in Canberra to manage Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Management and Procurement and Supply Chain Management activities to enhance Defence capabilities. This role entails overseeing all tasks related to fleet, inventory and stores management.
- Provide purchasing services (i.e., liaison with suppliers, request for quote, raising of purchase orders, order status management, etc.)
- Manage Supply Chain activities in coordination with the maintenance schedule.
- Conduct technical assessments of suppliers.
- Develop and implement procurement processes and strategies to optimise and continually improve the performance of the function.
- Conduct Supply Chain analysis to mitigate underlying capability and capacity gaps.
- Develop and manage strategies to ensure value for money, quality service delivery and best practice.
- Conduct and close out commercial negotiations with suppliers
- Ensure formal contractual relationships (Standing Offers) are in place.
- Supply chain reporting, performance evaluation and assessment.
- Comply with all relevant Work, Health and Safety policies and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimising accidental exposures to self, colleagues, visitors.

- Formal qualifications in an appropriate field.
- Expertise and experience in Supply Chain management, ILS, Procurement, Fleet or inventory management
- Experience in the Defence Environment.
- Effective written and oral communications and skills.
- Familiarity with Defence Supply Chain tools (such as MILIS and / or ERP)
- Must be an Australian Citizen and have a AGSVA Security Clearance.
Ideally, applicants will have experience in Defence projects with a good understanding of Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) procedures and culture.
