Iris Life Care is a registered NDIS Provider that focuses on supporting people living with disability and mental health challenges. We specialise in high and complex care, offering a range of services aimed at improving the quality of care within the sector.

We are seeking experienced High IntensitySupport Workers to provide outstanding care and support for a young female participant with psychosocial disability, intellectual disability, complex trauma, and medical challenges. The support will be provided on a 1:1 ratio, on a 24/7 basis.

The Position:

As a Support Worker, you will deliver a variety of services to participants to support them in living fulfilling and meaningful lives, developing independent living skills in everyday life within their shared living environment. This includes assistance with all aspects of daily living, such as meals, personal care, and skill development activities.

The role involves providing 24/7 support with a ratio of 1:1, including sleepover shifts with no night awakenings to ensure continuous care and support for our high-intensity participant, who has behaviours of Concern.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year experience as a Support Worker (desirable)
  • Experience in providing positive support to clients with challenging behavior, mental health challenges, and/or complex medical needs
  • Experience in insulin management (desirable)
  • Certificate III in Disability, Mental Health, Community Service, or other relevant qualification (or working towards)
  • A valid National Police Check (issued within a 3-month period) or willingness to undergo a National Police Check
  • Certificate to confirm completion of NDIS Worker Orientation
  • Current WWVP Card
  • Current First Aid with CPR certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain one
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Driver's license and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement
