We are expanding our team and have several casual openings for Support Workers. Working as a Support Worker, you’ll provide supervision and guidance to young people undertaking the program.
What does this mean?
This is a role that has a big impact. You’ll help to keep young people emotionally safe while supporting and monitoring activities of the program. You’ll assist with medications, support guided meditations, and provide general help and support to clients during the day.
You’ll also:

- Engage with families and other individuals or agencies to develop a strong post-treatment support network.
- Co-ordinate and arrange daily catering requirements including supported resident cooking, cleaning up and supported chores.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and behave appropriately and consistently with the young people in your care.
You’ll know that you’re leaving a positive wake when:

The hourly rate of pay ranges between $36.00 - $38.60 per hour plus casual loading and super. Additional penalty rates apply to afternoon, evening, weekend and public holiday shifts. The pay rate on offer will depend on the successful applicant’s skill set, experience, and knowledge.
What you’ll bring
In terms of the role itself, it’s not as much about the technical expertise nor the number of degrees you have, it’s about who you are as a person and what you bring:
- You’ll need to know how to set and maintain good boundaries - with clients, colleagues, and yourself. What we do isn’t always easy, so taking care of yourself is most important!
- You’ll have some experience in working with young people who have a trauma background and have experience managing various levels of behaviours.
- You’ll be comfortable working to a structure but have the capacity to be flexible and navigate the unexpected.

- You’ll have an understanding of the cultural and historical issues that impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

- A valid Working with Children Check (NSW).
While not essential, we’d also love you to have:
- Tertiary qualification in relevant field or studying towards this.
- Current Australian (issued) Driver’s Licence.
What matters most is that you’ll live and breathe our values, which means:
- You are humble, human, and full of hope.
