AddressAlexander Symonds is an established professional surveying consultancy based in Kent Town, with strong coverage across metro and regional areas of South Australia and Victoria.
With a team of approximately 170 staff, we specialize in all forms of surveying including land division, construction, high precision engineering, 3D laser scanning and RPAS services.
Due to our continued growth, we are pleased to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic drafter to join our dynamic team.
This role is ideal for someone who is keen to develop their drafting skills and grow into a pivotal member of our surveying operations.
You will work under guidance to support various surveying projects, contributing directly to the success and accuracy of our client deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Draft various surveying-related plans, including but not limited to Topographic, Architectural, Engineering, and Cadastral Plans.
- Assist in reviewing and interpreting 3D survey data for CAD plan presentation.
- Support the team in basic 3D spatial data analysis tasks following detailed instructions.
- Some exposure to AutoCAD or similar drafting software
Qualifications:
Essential:
- An understanding of coordinate systems in a CAD environment
Desirable:
- Familiarity with architectural and engineering plans.
- Experience with point clouds and 3D models.
- Understanding of the cadastral and land titling processes is a plus but not required.
