Survey Group is seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised Survey Drafter / GIS Analyst to join their Perth based office on a full time basis.
As the Survey Drafter / GIS Analyst you will be responsible for:
- 12D Design, Analysis and Volume
- Utilising software packages including: 12D, Trimble Business Centre, Real works / Cyclone and Autocad
- Drafting of general survey plans using software’s
- Preparation, manipulation, and calculation of data, for use by Surveyors in the field
- Proficiency with ARC/INFO, ArcView, ArcGIS extensions, Access, and SDE, and other GIS tools, utilities, and databases.
- GIS quality control and quality assurance.
- Assisting with IT support
- Mentoring and training technical employees to assist with project efficiencies
To be considered for this position you must have the following:
- Formal qualification or certification in Surveying/Drafting or relevant to role
- Demonstrated experience in GIS and drafting practices.
- Proficient skill in cartography as well as coordinate systems and projections
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, manage time effectively and set priorities
- Demonstrated computer literacy and keyboard skills, including knowledge and experience with Microstation and AutoCAD
- Ability and willingness to work as part of team, effectively managing time and setting work priorities
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Willingness to develop skills, adapt and learn new technologies and drafting techniques
- Flexibility with working arrangements
- Strong safety ethic and commitment to Survey Group’s quality policy and associated documents
