Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions and services. We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst/ Senior .NET Developer to join this dynamic team and contribute to their mission of excellence and innovation.
As a Systems Analyst/ Senior .NET Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality applications using Microsoft technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions that meet our clients' needs. This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects and advance your career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using .NET Framework and .NET Core.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code in C# and ASP.NET. & apply strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, design patterns, and dependency injection using Unity.
- Design and implement SQL databases, including programming stored procedures and user-defined functions | Utilise Entity Framework for data access and manipulation.
- Develop and maintain front-end components using HTML, JavaScript, and related frameworks (experience with Sencha Ext JS is a plus) & Employ Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications | Document technical designs and code for future reference and maintenance.
Desirable Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with the applicable technology platform, with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Minimum of 8 years of strong working experience in application development using Microsoft technologies, including .NET Framework/Core and SQL Server.
- Good understanding of Software Design, Software Debugging, Software Documentation, Software Testing, Problem Solving, Software Development Fundamentals, Software Development Process and Software Requirements, including the following:
• C#, ASP.NET, .NET 4.0, ASP.NET MVC 3, WCF
• HTML, Java Script
• T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Database modeling
• Dependency Injection, Unity, Entity Framework, Unit-testing
• Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server
On offer is a daily rate contract at a highly sought after NSW Government organisation, with a highly competitive hourly rate.
