To be considered for this contract, you will need to be an Australian citizen and have an NV1 security clearance in place as a minimum. Contract is due to start in April 2024.
The Commonwealth requires the services of an Advanced Practitioner as the Battlefield Telecommunication Network (BTN) Specialist to supplement the contractor workforce within the Land Network program. In this role you will be required to interface into the Integrated Battlefield Telecommunication Network, Mission Partner Environment and BMS-C2 systems.
Some of the key tasks will include:
- Assist with the preparation for Change Control Boards (CCB),
- Support the C2 Tactical Extension Product Line lead in the delivery of outcomes as directed,
- Lead the development in the technical integration of the tactical services, such as BMS-C2 and Mission Partner Environment,
- Assist the level 2/3 technical support for BTN in support of Army deployments,
- Provide maintenance support to BTN hardware and software Configuration Items,
- Engineer test and pre-development systems to support BTN integration to the Land Combat Systems.
Key skills required:
The ideal candidate will be someone with broad experience in the current in-service Integrated Battlefield Telecommunication Network and Tactical Communications Network. You will require experience in tactical applications and to a lesser extent networking, satellite communications and HACE. Candidates will be able to configure and support satcom modems, IBTN equipment and BMS-C2 systems.
In addition, you will have experience in developing software for Linux operating systems and developing and administering Linux based servers, applications and standard operating environment (SOE) images.
