TA - Food Manufacturer

We are presently seeking experienced Trades Assistants for a Dry and Wet goods company specializing in the meticulous crafting of a diverse range of premium products. These products include:

- Artisanal cheese and dairy powders
- Flavourful rubs, marinades, and glazes
- Toppings and Sauces
- Rich stocks and broths

Our client's commitment lies in creating and packaging essential elements to meet the unique requirements of beloved franchises worldwide. These exceptional products are skilfully crafted using a combination of expertise and innovative techniques to cater to diverse tastes and preferences.

**The Role:**

As a Trades Assistant in this manufacturing warehouse, you will work a 38-hour week, Monday to Friday, with rostered shifts from 10 AM to 6 PM. Full training will be provided on the system, with vendor attendance.

Your main responsibilities, with full training, will include:

1. Conducting filter changes and regular maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly) on plant equipment, such as oil samples, filter replacement, and meter readings.
2. Performing general handyman duties across the site, including installing safety signage, making minor repairs to floors, walls, and doors, keeping the outside maintenance area tidy, and conducting general painting touch-ups.
3. Supporting the Maintenance team by maintaining and monitoring the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP). This area, having undergone significant capital investments, now requires attention for approximately 2-3 hours per day. Responsibilities include taking readings, adjusting chemical amounts, making on-the-run adjustments, placing orders for replenishing chemicals, and ensuring the system runs cleanly and effectively.
4. Utilizing hand tools effectively and demonstrating a self-starting attitude while working independently most of the time. A forklift license is a must.

**To be successful in this role, you will need:**

- A valid forklift license with a minimum of 6 months of experience.
- The ability to follow instructions and be a fast learner.
- Previous experience as a Trades Assistant.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
- Familiarity with OH&S and food safety programs, particularly in relation to the "cold chain" process.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
