A dynamic Federal Government Department is looking to engage an experienced Tactical Developer to join their fast paced cyber security team. You will be capable of working in a high speed environment that requires an agile attitude with flexibility to tasking, and be accountable for all outputs. The successful Tactical Developer will secure an initial 12 month contract with the view to extend for a further 2 x 12 months.
The successful Tactical Developerwill be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Supporting tactical development activities to prototype, enhance and validate new solutions or concepts.
- Identify, design, and code solutions using a variety of programming languages.
- Applying best practices to design and implement code which utilizes API accesses to integrate with other solutions.
- Providing continuous uptake of deployment automation opportunities as they present.
- Identify, inform, and seek to mitigate release engineering risks during work planning.
The successful Tactical Developer will have experience in the following:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure cloud technology knowledge and experience.
- Programming knowledge and experience in Python, Java, and REST APIs, particularly with these API’s available in cloud-based systems.
- Proven ability to work across Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge and experience in data governance practices.
