PetO is an established family business, that is embarking on a fast-track expansion plan to become a nationwide player with a network of nearly 60 Stores and 25 co- located veterinary clinics. 

We’ve loved being a growing part of the pet industry over the last 17 years and know the value of passionate people, Due to our expansion we are currently on the hunt for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People & Culture team.

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture you will be responsible for

Responsibilities:

  • Social Media & Professional Networks: Engage with potential candidates on platforms including Seek, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Recruiting Emails: Craft and send compelling recruiting emails to potential candidates.
  • Position Requirements: Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Candidate Sourcing: Use various sourcing techniques, including Boolean search, to identify qualified candidate profile
  • Talent Pipelines: Develop and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
  • Conversion Rates: Measure and report on conversion rates, including the transition of passive candidates to applicants, interview invitations, job offers, and hires.
  • Referrals: Encourage and manage referrals from current employees and external networks.
  •  Employer Branding: Promote our employer brand through online and offline channels.
  •  Database Management: Maintain and update candidate databases using our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Candidate Communication: Stay in touch with past applicants about new job opportunities

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven work experience as a Talent Sourcer.
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting on social platforms and crafting Boolean search strings.
  • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Candidate Management Systems (CMS).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to positively present our company and open roles to potential candidates.
  • Effective time-management abilities
