The Department of Communities brings together the services and functions of disability services, child protection and family support, housing, community initiatives and regional services reform.
The Remote Communities Branch drives strategic and operational reform for and with remote and town-based Aboriginal communities towards improving community outcomes and progressing self determination.
This Talent Register will be used to fill a number of short-term vacancies up to 12 months across the Remote Communities Branch.

Our Remote Communities Fund Program Office team is responsible for implementing the housing component of the Western Australian Government’s $350m Remote Communities Fund.
Our Planning and Programs team is responsible for the planning and delivery of land, housing and infrastructure projects, and planning and negotiating land access agreements.
Our Remote Essential and Municipal Services team provides municipal services to 141 remote Aboriginal communities, aiming to improve the viability and sustainability of remote Aboriginal communities and contribute to primary and environmental health and community wellbeing.
Our Town Based Reserves team drives implementation of the whole-of-government policy framework for the transition of Aboriginal town-based reserves.
Our Portfolio and Policy team is responsible for developing and implementing initiatives to drive better housing outcomes, stronger economic participation, and improved governance in Remote Communities.
Our Executive Services team provide professional executive support to the Director Remote Communities and Team Leaders.
Experience working in and/or with Aboriginal communities and organisations is highly regarded but not essential. The Branch is based at our Walyalup Campus (Fremantle), however work from alternative Communities office locations across the state may be considered.

Information about the Talent Register
