About you
St Patrick’s College is seeking to appoint an energetic and skilled TAS Assistant to join our highly professional and collaborative team of educators.
The role of the TAS Assistant is to provide support to the coordinator and teachers of the TAS Department. The TAS Assistant is employed to work for 25hrs per fortnight in the TAS Department. Their role is to assist the TAS Coordinator and Staff in ensuring workshop safety and maintenance.. The TAS Assistant may endeavour to assist with resource preparation if time permits.
The TAS Assistant is responsible for:
- liaising and consulting with the TAS Coordinator in regard to the overall safety and maintenance of the facilities
- daily startup procedures for workshop machinery
- assist in stock take/restocking of supplies for the TAS Department where time permits.
Outside of the TAS Dept, the TAS Assistant is also responsible for:
- regular check of school email account & respond where appropriate
- complete online courses as required by Sydney Catholic Schools e.g. Child Protection; Workplace, Health & Safety; Workplace Behaviour; ASCIA, OnGuard.
You will have attained:
- a Tertiary qualification in Education
- eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- an Employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS.
