AddressOur Taxation Practice has been operating in the northern area since 1982 servicing the needs of our valued clients across a wide variety of industries such as primary production, retail, transport, building and construction just to name a few.
We are seeking a individual to join our team and to assist the Tax Agent in preparing tax returns and financial statements for Individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies.
The Role:
- Prepare tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders and individuals.
- prepare and lodge BAS, IAS and FBT returns.
- liaise with the Australian Taxation Office, ASIC and other regulatory bodies.
- liaise with clients regarding technical matters and compliance obligations.
- Be part of a small team of accountants and bookkeepers that work together to get the job done.
Qualities that you need:
- Previous experience in preparing Tax Returns and Financial Statements
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to learn/adapt quickly.
- A pro-active approach to your work
- Ability to manage high volumes of work and to work to strict deadlines.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- An ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Able to build and maintain client relationships.
Qualifications that you need:
- Completed University degree or TAFE Diploma in accounting.
- Good working knowledge and Experience of MYOB, Xero and
Microsoft Office (Word, excel and outlook) - Familiarity with MYOB Accountants Enterprise (not essential but will benefit)
- Good knowledge of accounting standards, income tax, GST and relevant taxation acts and legislation
- A sound working knowledge of companies, trusts and partnerships.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of tax accounting experience
- Member of IPA
