Stella Maris Catholic Primary School is a co-educational Catholic School situated in Burnie, catering for 431 students from Kindergarten to Grade 6.
Teacher Assistant - Limited Tenure
Monday 22 July 2024 – 17 December 2024
8.25 hrs per week
(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9.30am – 12.30pm)
The school is seeking applications from enthusiastic and suitably qualified candidates.
The Teacher Assistant will be required to:
- Participate in the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of student learning and programs.
- Support students with challenging behaviours in accordance with organisational policy and guidelines.
- Provide support to the teachers in the delivery of educational programs to students
- Certificate III in Education Support and/or equivalent experience
- Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tasmania)
- Demonstrated genuine commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education
The successful candidate will have experience in coordinating business administration and finance functions, be competent in all facets of general office administration, and a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within a wider team environment. Familiarity within an educational environment would be an advantage.
Salary will be in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018.
