About the role:
Based at our Yallourn Campus, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced industry expert to join the TAFE Gippsland Building Teaching team in the delivery of Cabinet Making. The successful applicant will have the ability to train students to the high standard required in order for them to be successful in industry.
As a teacher, you will deliver high quality training and assessment, develop innovative resources and assessment materials, and undertake educational administration. You will provide students with support and advice and equip them with the skills and knowledge required in order to prepare them for a career within the Carpentry Industry.
Qualifications and experience:
- Successful completion of Certificate IV Training & Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent qualification or willingness to obtain qualification if successful
- Appropriate Industry qualification (Certificate III in Cabinet Making or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Cabinet Making
- Knowledge of and experience in the delivery of industry specific skills
Mandatory requirements:
- Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
- Current Police Check (not older than 12 months old)
- A valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Current Driver’s Licence
If you currently don’t have the minimum required teaching qualifications, yet you have extensive industry experience and associated qualifications, TAFE Gippsland will consider your application but you must meet all other criteria shown in the Job Description.
