Skills & attributes for success in this role
Successful completion of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110) inclusive of:
- TAEASS502 (design & develop assessment tools) or equivalent
- TAELLN411 (Address adult learning, literacy & numeracy skills) or equivalent.
A degree, diploma or other approved tertiary qualification in relevant industry vocational area to enable to teach across any of the following courses/disciplines:
- Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication
- Certificate IV in Engineering – Fabrication (desirable)
- Diploma of Engineering – Fabrication (desirable)
Demonstrated current knowledge, relevant skills and industry experience including:
- a current trade or allied trade certificate in boiler making, welding steel structural fabrications or sheet metal work (preferably at least five years industry experience post trade)

Teacher L1.2 (AQF4) $83,429 p.a.
Teacher L2.1 to L2.3 (AQF5) $85,169 to $93,961 p.a.
Teacher L3.1 to L3.4 (AQF6+) $99,983 to $111,391 p.a.
Casual Teacher L1 (AQF4) $82.01 (teach) and $55.74 (non-teach) per hour
Casual Teacher L2 (AQF5) $85.23 (teach) and $ 57.93 (non-teach) per hour
Casual Teacher L3 (AQF6) $88.60 (teach) and $60.19 (non-teach) per hour
Subject to teaching qualifications
Superannuation is paid at the current superannuation guarantee rate.
