As the K-1 teacher, you'll be responsible for the learning needs of students from Kindergarten to Year 1 in a multi-age classroom setting. We are a small vibrant school on the south western edge of the Atherton Tablelands, catering to around 68 students from Prep to Year 6. Our dedicated teaching staff are a wonderful mix of comparatively young and older experienced teachers. They consist of a teaching principal, three dedicated classroom teachers and three equally dedicated teacher aides who are a valued and a very important part of the delivery of our educational programs. There is an office administrator, a guidance officer who attends our school one day a fortnight, a casual grounds person and two cleaners. Multi-age classes provide students with opportunities to be challenged and extended in their learning.

Living in Mount Garnet
Located 163km south west of cairns by road, the small rural town of Mount Garnet is home to approximately 300 people. Originally a mining town, several minerals including tin, copper, zinc and garnet can still be found in the area.
