- Teaching and Learning Coordinator- responsible for leading all teachers in the design and delivery of quality programs that enable students to attain expected levels of academic achievement in all key subjects for relevant stages of learning. This role is designed to support the continued successful development of Teaching and Learning to meet the needs of youth-at-risk. You will be responsible for providing the strategic direction, coordination, management and oversight of curriculum, Teaching and Learning models

As a Coordinator, you will balance your time between Teaching and leadership at our Nautilus Campus in Port Macquarie . This role has a teaching commitment. Please state clearly your main teaching subjects and any additional teaching experience in your application. Subjects of particular interest would be Science and Mathematics. We are also keen to talk to experienced Primary and Secondary school teachers with a proven track record of working with students with diverse support needs.
The successful candidate will be an:
- Excellent Educator: holding a deep understanding to the barriers to education that young people in our setting might face and a working knowledge with a ‘can do attitude’ of how to create learning opportunities that inspire and engage students despite potential obstacles.
- Compassionate and Creative Thinker: providing inspiration for students, staff and parents, passionate about initiatives that genuinely make a difference in young people’s lives and team players who know how to connect, collaborate and build relationships across the organisation. A working knowledge of trauma informed pedagogical practices.
- Exceptional communicator: relating with ease to students, staff, parents and the wider community to develop strong relationships and work in partnership[s with families and key stakeholders
- Strategic Leader: supporting the Co-Principal in the strategic and practical oversight of planning, delivering, monitoring, modelling and evaluating all teaching programs for Stage 4 & 5 students. With an exacting focus on personalised learning, you will assist with establishing pedagogical standards to develop the best possible learning culture within the school
