Job description

We are excited to collaborate with a leading non-for-profit organisation in the social services space to add a dedicated Team Leader to their exceptional team in the NT. This position is ideal for a clinician with a background in social work, psychology, or counselling, who has management experience and a strong interest in overseeing mental health programmes within the wider community.
Role Overview:
This role involves providing early intervention, preventative services, and programmes for parents, families, and youths experiencing mental health difficulties. Key responsibilities include:
Implementing leadership and integration of multiple programmes.
Leading and mentoring staff while providing direct services and managing complex client work.
Contributing to the formation and establishment of mental health programmes and initiatives, including undertaking control and coordination of major work initiatives.
Managing triage, assessment, and allocation of individual and group therapy.
Utilizing evidence-based and trauma-informed practices for culturally appropriate services.
Developing and maintaining collaborative networks and relationships with relevant government and community-based agencies and community representatives.
Essential Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must have:
A relevant degree with substantial experience/post-graduate qualification or an associate diploma with experience in a mental health setting.
At least 2 years of experience in a leadership position.
Experience in report writing, case management, and staff supervision.
Demonstrated cultural competency, particularly in working with Indigenous communities.
Australian citizenship or unrestricted working rights in Australia.
A valid police check conducted within the last 12 months or willingness to obtain one.
A Working with Children Check (WWCC).
