Townsville Catholic Education (TCE) is currently seeking a Team Leader to manage, advise and support a team of professionals dedicated to providing services in support of inclusive education.
About the Role
The Team Leader, Inclusion and Capability oversees the development of proactive partnerships, school capability building and upskilling across the system to proactively lift inclusive practice capability and capacity within schools. Working collaboratively with peers, the Team Leader will develop consistent approaches and standards to service provision whilst considering the unique context and needs of each school. Additionally, the role acts as the point of contact for their team to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of services to assist in achieving inclusive learning environments in which all students can thrive, irrespective of their abilities, disabilities, or backgrounds
About You
Proven experience in designing and delivering adult learning programs, workshops, and professional development sessions, with a focus on building educators' capacity in inclusive education practices.
Demonstrated experience leading and supervising a multi-disciplinary team that provides support to leaders and teachers.
Highly developed interpersonal communication and human relations skills in dealing with a range of professionals including professionals from other agencies and organisations.
Staff/team management experience with the ability to recruit and develop staff, negotiate work priorities, and plan and coordinate work to meet multiple objectives.
Strong knowledge of inclusive education principles, best practice, and legislative and compliance requirements and how these are enacted within a diverse team of EAL/D Specialist, Inclusion Advisors, Inclusion Specialist and Project Officer.
Proven capacity to develop and implement inclusive education programs and associated strategies and services to support the diverse needs of educators and students.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
Effective communication and consultation skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and understandable manner to diverse audiences
Mandatory Criteria
Full professional registration (for example, full registration as a teacher in Queensland)
Solid demonstrated experience providing leadership to, managing and coordinating a team
Current Working with Children Suitability Card - The successful candidate will require a paid Blue Card before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government – exemption for AHPRA or OCT Registration
Current Driver’s Licence
Ability to travel from time to time within the Townsville Diocese
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
