What you'll be doing
The Team Leader will be experienced and innovative with considerable knowledge in Drug Health Service Delivery. The Team Leader will lead a multi-disciplinary team of Allied Health Professionals (Clinical Psychologists, Forensic Psychologists, Neuropsychologist, and Drug and Alcohol Counsellors), daily guidance with practice and operational issues and responsibilities. The Team Leader will provide Clinical Supervision, leadership, guidance and line management ensuring the provision of evidenced based Drug Health services including intake, assessment, case formulation, individual counselling, group therapy, research and education.
The Team Leader position is responsible for provision of professional duties which contribute to the care of consumers and their families under the direct supervision of the Director Allied Health and Director Drug Health Services. These are inclusive of but not limited to provision of comprehensive evidenced-based drug and alcohol clinical services to ensure optimum care is provided to consumers of WSLHD Drug Health Services.

Essential Criteria:
- Qualification: Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Forensic Psychology
- Registration: General Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
- Advanced level of clinical skills and demonstrated experience in range of Drug and Alcohol and Mental Health Service delivery.
- Proven leadership of Allied Health Multidisciplinary Teams including the provision of Clinical Supervision and facilitation of clinical reviews and management of risks.
- Extensive knowledge, and proven ability working from a trauma informed and recovery orientated models of care.
- Proven experience in providing clinical support, debriefing, and supervision to team members who provide psychosocial interventions to adults with drug and alcohol difficulties and their family.
- Proven experience in providing empirically based interventions to Drug and Alcohol consumers including (but not limited to) Relapse prevention, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy & Schema Therapy.
- Ability to network effectively with Community groups and external organisations, in offering advice and support in the management and referral pathways for treatment options for drug and alcohol clients.
- Demonstrated experience working with executives, clinicians and managers within a large complex environment, with a proven track record in building rapport and establishing trust.
- Current NSW Drivers licence.
