Eligibility: Open to EveryoneThe Team Leader, Systems Accounting Reporting and Analysis, leads a small team in providing information systems and service that support the government’s consolidated whole of government reporting obligations including the state budget, SA Government Consolidated Financial Statements and Australian Bureau of Statistics quarterly and annual reporting. This includes managing the Hyperion Financial Management system and related systems, providing support, training and advice to users, developing reports and associated procedures, and providing advice in regards to future developments and continuous improvement.The Team Leader, Systems Accounting Reporting & Analysis, reports to the Director, Financial Services in the Accounting and Financial Services Branch and works closely with other senior officers of the South Australian public sector agencies and liaises with external organisations.As the Team Leader you will lead and manage the strategic delivery by:Financial systems that support whole of government budgeting and reporting are effectively implemented and maintained by:
- Collaborating with users both in identifying user needs and in providing advice and assistance in use of the systems and associated procedures
- Overseeing development and production of financial reports that assist with the development, reconciliation and Analysis of SA Government Consolidated Financial Statements
- Project management of development, enhancement and/or testing of financial systems
- Development of business cases, specifications and associated procurement and contract documents as required
- Liaison with ICT service providers and collaboration to identify solutions for non-standard operations and issues.
- Providing expert advice on potential solutions to practical accounting and financial system problems
- Undertaking and guiding others in complex analysis on whole of government consolidation and elimination methodologies
- Overseeing or presenting training as required.
- Promoting continuous improvement
- Identifying and researching new product developments
- Risk assessment in relation to changes in suppliers and operating platforms
- Contribute to the identification and achievement of Department and Branch objectives by contributing to the development, implementation and monitoring of the Corporate Plan and Branch plans.
- Contribute to the promotion and implementation of Public Sector Principles and Practices and in particular Equal Opportunity, Work Health and Safety by adhering to the provisions of various Acts and associated legislation.
- Some out of hours work may be required.
- Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
- The incumbent will be required to participate in the Departmental Performance Management Program.
- The incumbent may be required to be assigned to other positions at the same remuneration level across the department.
