Job description

The purpose of the Team Leader Systems role is to provide support, system administration and high-level application advice and guidance, to ensure the effective and efficient business operation of Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) Radiology Informatics.

The incumbent requires clinical-operational and ICT knowledge, skills, problem solving abilities and experience in the medical imaging business processes at a Health Service level.

The position is accountable for delivery of images and associated clinical reports to radiologists and other clinician clients of the THHS; and is also responsible for operational management of Radiology Informatics and PACS team.

What's on offer?
Remuneration package of up to $133,138 p.a., comprising base salary range of $108,936 - $116,690p.a. (AO6), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%). Assistance with relocation expenses may also be available for this position.

Please note that whilst we are ideally seeking to appoint to the position on a full-time basis, appointment on a part-time basis may be negotiable.

About the role

  • Maintain a good working knowledge of clinical workflows and the impact of clinical informatics systems on these workflows.
  • Coordinate and manage delivery of high functioning radiology reporting workflows within radiology TUH.
  • Apply expertise to assist in the resolution of complex clinical service or work-flow problems within the radiology informatics service.
  • Coordinate and monitor the allocation of staff and other resources within radiology informatics.
  • Provide high level data analysis and statistical reports to support the medical imaging service's quality and performance monitoring objectives.
Role requirements
  • While not mandatory, a postgraduate qualification in Informatics or related qualification is highly desirable.
  • Evidence of significant relevant Professional Development activities.
  • It is a mandatory condition of employment for the employee to be and remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
