Team Member Arboriculture

The Barossa Council has an exciting opportunity within our Arboriculture Team as Team Member, contributing to our service delivery throughout the community.
We're seeking a dedicated and capable individual to join us as a valued Team Member. As part of our Arboriculture Team, you'll be instrumental in the upkeep and improvement of Council's tree management. Your passion for arboriculture, coupled with your attention to detail and expertise, will make you an integral part of our mission to beautify and maintain our community's natural surroundings.
Key responsibilities:
- Undertake the pruning, planting, establishment and maintenance of street, park and public trees in accordance with best arboriculture practices.
- Perform a broad range of maintenance and construction general labour duties and activities to maintain and enhance Council’s natural and built assets.
- Operate a range of plant and machinery to deliver a high quality and safe service to our community.
- Contribute to a culture of exceptional customer service to all internal and external stakeholders through the delivery of timely, effective and efficient operations services.
- Actively contribute to a collaborative, positive, safe and efficient team environment.
To be successful you will need:
- Demonstrated experience in general labouring duties in tree management.
- An ability, knowledge, experience and qualifications to operate a range of plant and equipment and/or a willingness to upskill as needed.
- A self-motivated approach to work with a sense of optimism and pride that positively represents the reputation of Council to the community.
- A driven approach to team collaboration in daily responsibilities and tasks.

Essential position requirements
- This position requires you to hold and provide evidence of a current and valid Australian MR class driver’s licence.
